Readers and Progressives

Reader glasses are designed for individuals who have trouble reading small text up close, a common condition known as presbyopia. They provide magnification to make reading, sewing, or using digital devices easier.

Progressive glasses combine readers into your distance lenses, designed with three optical zones – relatively for distance, intermediate and near vision. Unlike bifocals, they have a gradual transition and eliminates the need for switching between different glasses.

Fit readers or progressives on any frame

If you only need help with reading or close-up tasks, readers are a simple and affordable option.

If you need clear vision at all distances (near, intermediate, and far), progressives offer a convenient all-in-one solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription for reading glasses?

No, reading glasses are available in standard magnifications, where you can choose the strength you are used to, or your doctor recommends.

Can I add functions onto my readers or progressives?

Yes! We offer the full range of functions as we do with our standard distance lenses. Choose from high-definition clear, blue-light filter, photochromic or sun-lens, to add onto any reader or progressive lens.

Are these lenses suitable for daily wear?

Reading glasses are designed for close-up tasks. Wearing them for distance vision may cause blurriness.

Progressive glasses are suitable for daily wear and are designed to replace multiple pairs of glasses. They may need a few days to adjust to, and when you do, you will be able to see clearly at all distances—near, intermediate, and far—without switching between reading and distance glasses.

Do you offer higher index material?

Yes! We offer the full range of lenses material as we do with our standard distance lenses. Choose from the standard 1.60 all the way to the highest index there is, 1.74.

What should I consider when choosing a frame?

Readers can fit all frames will. Progressives work best with taller lens frames for a smoother transition between vision zones. Should you not be sure, we offer 30 days free try-on for all NextPair lenses.

Can I return or exchange my pair if they’re not working out?

Of course. All NextPair frames and NextPair lenses are eligible for a free 30 day try on, during which you can make sure you’re really happy with your pair. And we’re here 24/7 to support any questions along the way.
